What Is PromptForge?
PromptForge is a free AI prompt builder built by Data Foundry for professionals who want consistent, high-quality outputs from AI tools every single time. It is available at app.datafoundry.co.in.
Most professionals using Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini write prompts from scratch every time — and get inconsistent results. PromptForge solves this by giving you a structured builder for three proven prompt frameworks, a 6-step system prompt wizard, version history for all your prompts, and one-click export to any AI platform.
PromptForge generates the prompt text. You copy it and paste into Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot or any AI tool. No API key needed to build prompts.
Getting Started — Create Your Free Account
Open your browser and visit app.datafoundry.co.in. The sign-in screen loads immediately.
Switch to the Sign up tab. Enter a username (letters, numbers and _ only) and a password (minimum 8 characters). Email is optional.
Your account is created instantly. You land on the My Prompts dashboard. Your data is stored securely in your browser.
Click 🎯 Task Prompt to build using a framework, or 🧬 System Prompt to build your personal AI assistant prompt.
Framework 1 — RISEN (Best for Reports and Analysis)
RISEN is the most powerful framework for professional business outputs. It stands for Role, Instructions, Steps, End Goal and Narrowing. Each element removes a specific type of ambiguity that causes inconsistent AI outputs.
Best for: Management reports, AR/AP summaries, status updates, root cause analysis, risk assessments, any structured business document.
Role: Senior Accounts Executive, 8yrs P2P & O2C experience Instructions: Write month-end AR aging summary for management Steps: 1. Summarise key metrics 2. Flag risks 3. Recommend action End Goal: CFO reads in 90s and knows exact risk exposure Narrowing: Max 250 words. H3 headers. RAG status required.
The Narrowing field is the most impactful. Always include word count, format preference and at least one thing AI should never do. This alone doubles consistency.
Framework 2 — RTF (Best for Emails and Quick Tasks)
RTF stands for Role, Task, Format. It is the fastest framework — three fields, 60 seconds, professional output. Use it for any communication task or quick report.
Best for: Vendor follow-up emails, customer dispute responses, meeting agendas, team announcements, quick summaries.

Framework 3 — CREATE (Best for Content and LinkedIn)
CREATE stands for Character, Request, Examples, Adjustments, Type, Extras. It is the most expressive framework — designed for content creation, social media posts, articles and any output where voice and tone matter as much as structure.
Best for: LinkedIn posts, blog introductions, product descriptions, email newsletters, announcements.
The System Prompt Wizard — Build Your Personal AI Assistant
The System Prompt Wizard is different from the three task frameworks. Instead of building a prompt for a single task, it builds a personalised AI system prompt — a set of permanent instructions that tell AI exactly who you are, how you work and what you expect from every interaction.
Paste the result into Claude → Settings → Custom Instructions or ChatGPT's system prompt field. From that moment, every conversation you have with that AI is pre-calibrated to your role, industry and communication style.
Your name, job title, industry, tools and systems you work with, team size and current work context.
Preferred response format, answer depth (quick / moderate / deep), decision-making style and risk tolerance slider.
Things you always want AI to do. Things you never want. What success looks like in your own words.
Review your profile summary, click Generate. AI produces a complete 8-section system prompt with validation. Missing sections are auto-detected and can be repaired in one click.
The wizard auto-saves your progress every 1.5 seconds. If you close the tab mid-way, a "Resume draft" banner appears on your next visit — your work is never lost.
Version History, Compare and Restore
Every time you edit and save a prompt, PromptForge automatically creates a new version. You can store up to 20 versions per prompt — giving you a complete audit trail of every change.
- Preview any version — click any past version in the history panel to see the full text.
- Compare mode — view any past version side-by-side with the current version. See exactly what changed.
- Restore — click Restore to roll back to any previous version. The current version is automatically saved before restoring.
- Export .txt — download any version as a plain text file, named with the prompt title and version number.
Dashboard — Search, Sort and Manage Your Library
The My Prompts dashboard is your prompt library. All saved prompts appear here with their framework badge, version count and last-edited date.
- Search — finds prompts by title or content. Results highlight the matched text.
- Sort — sort by Newest, Oldest or A→Z.
- Rename — click the ✏ Rename button on any card to rename inline without opening the prompt.
- Delete — remove any prompt with its full version history.
Profile and Account Settings
Access your profile by clicking the avatar initials in the top-right corner of any page. Three sections are available:
- Profile Info — update your display name and email address.
- Password — change your password. Stored as a SHA-256 hash — never in plain text.
- Danger Zone — permanently delete all prompts. Requires typing your username to confirm. Cannot be undone.
